Tirana, 22June, 09:30hrs– The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections and Sustainable Democracy (CFFESD) presented the preliminary report with findings related to Election Day processes and reflecting the situation in all Voting Centers in the country.
"Based on information received from the CFFESD non – partisan observers, there were no important procedural mistakes/violations during the Election Day processes: opening of Voting Centers, voting and closing procedures" – said Ms. Mirela Arqimandriti, CFFESD Team Leader.
"CFFESD is concerned regarding the fact that during the opening procedures, in 17% of the cases Voting Center commissioners didn't distribute the copy of the seal log to political party observers"– said Mr. Dhimitër Gjodede, CFFESD analyst.
10 %of Voting Centers did not open with the correct number of commissioners.
"In 37 % of the Voting Centers there were no women commissioners and in only 15 % of the Voting Centers the chairs of the VCs were women"whereas in 57 of the Voting Centers voters with disability could not cast their vote in secrecy because the centers were not accessible by them, said Erjona Mulellari, Elections Coordinator.
"The biggest parties: SP and DP had poll watchers in 90 % of the voting centers, whereas Socialist Movement for Integration had poll watchers in 80 % of the Voting Centers"said Dhimitër Gjodede, Longterm Observer Coordinator.
"It is very concerning that on 25% of Voting Centers in the country there were voters that were not able to find their names in the voters list"said DhimitërGjodede, Longterm Observer Coordinator.
